About Jada Metcalf
Founder of IMPACT Doula Training Certification
Owner of The Milk & Honey Company & The Future of Lactation, LLC
Jada Metcalf has been training Doulas since 2024 using her Mind, Body & Babee doula training method. Jada has attended births since 2021 during the pandemic supporting a total of 75 births to date. All of these aspiring doula students have found IMPACT Doula Training to fill a significant role in their doula professional journey while mitigating the Black Maternal & Infant Mortality and Black breastfeeding rates here in Georgia and nationwide.

Jada’s IMPACT Doula certification program is one of the few Doula training programs with an exclusive focus on birth to breastfeeding care. In July of 2024 the IMPACT Doula Certification program became fully accessible as a hybrid course proving online and in person hands on advanced skills training as well.

Jada believes that families have an easier and happier start when they have support as their family grows from conception to reception and beyond. She has been able to offer this support in a variety of ways since 2016 with the birth to breastfeeding experience of her own two children.
Jada Metcalf also runs a very successful business. When she began training herself, she realized there was an important component missing in childbirth education- thorough breastfeeding education and it would be a disservice to families for Doulas not to have adequate education on the first milk, colostrum into the first latch while staying within their scope of practice. The emphasis of IMPACT Doula training is to enhance the initiation of breastfeeding through childbirth preparation. Doulas are the "first responders" of birth and breastfeeding inside and outside of the hospital settings as we have more contact with families than some providers. She quickly realized that not all trainings were created equally! Training and mentoring the doulas who wanted to work with her means that everyone she hires is able to perform at the same high standards while reducing C sections and increasing the breastfeeding rates in their community with simple breastfeeding basics such as hand expression and latching and positioning techniques and when to seek help for their clients,
IMPACT Doulas also have access to The Future of Lactation, a local organization dedicated to increasing the number of Black lactation advocates, professionals and Lactation Consultants (IBCLCs) in their community to further their education with certifications, licensure and most off all evidence-informed knowledge. We have some of the top Black IBCLCs in the group to help guide, mentor and train you along the way. Becoming an IMPACT Doula is just the stepping stone to a rewarding career in Black Maternal and Infant Health.
