We offer mentorship for up to six weeks after training concludes and ongoing community monthly group support throughout your journey too! Starting a new career as a doula, and building your business, is in fact scary, but, "do everything scared" with the right guidance and support. It is a 24/7 workload if you're working alone -- let me help you build the structure for a thriving and successful business. This didn't happen overnight for me but there were many trials and errors along the way to qualify me as an experienced maternal health consulting business for families and communities too. When you complete training you have an opportunities for 1:1's or community group virtual check in's to answer any questions you may have or just to be among community.

Black women in Georgia experience significantly higher cesarean section rates, with recent data showing rates near 38.1% compared to other groups, a disparity linked to factors like provider implicit bias and racism, socioeconomic status (Medicaid vs. private insurance), and potentially higher rates of elective C-sections, though disparities persist even in low-risk situations, highlighting systemic issues in maternal care.
